IN THE QUIET

When you give yourself the permission to go inside and be in relationship with yourself, you begin to recognize who you are. This reflective space is one of truth and understanding.

Being in the quiet can happen anytime, anyplace.  Around people, on your own, in nature or during a busy commute, you are always capable of accessing your internal dialogue.

When you allow yourself to knock off the mental chatter your mind has you running on, it is when you become able to connect with your gut. This opens the space of knowing rather than thinking.

How do you recognize it?

It is calm and it is quiet.

LEARNINGS

Here are a few, 'In the Quiet' learnings:

.Being on your own, although tricky at times, is the backbone of internal strength. it is invaluable, as it leads to trusting you can count on yourself.

. Every relationship in life; personal,  professional, difficult or easy is a mirror and an opportunity to learn about yourself.

. Learning to receive is as equally important as giving to others.

. The only person to compare yourself with is you. No one else is a fair assessment. Ask yourself, 'Am I better today than yesterday? You are your only true barometer.

. Always exit a room gracefully'. Any room; a relationship, a chapter in life, because how you exit is the substance which creates character.

. 'You always know your truth.' Whether you deny, betray hide, minimize or maximize outside, inside you know the truth.

. A loved one's passing may be the most difficult gift and greatest lesson in understanding love.

. Change, while initially scary, is often easier when fully embraced. Trust the uncertainty, rather than hold on to what no longer serves. This begins the magical ride.

. You do not need to experience everything to learn from it. Share in the lessons of those around, both inspirational & disincentive, for everyone is going through something and you can learn from it all.

. ' Those things which others do to us, we teach them and allow them to do.' What??!!!! Yes, indeed. Stop blaming, become accountable and free yourself from the drama dance.

. Life is ultimately about your relationship with yourself. The more you understand, accept and embrace yourself with compassion, the more you will be able to understand and accept others.
